We are nearing the Fantasy playoffs which are just over a month away. Many of you are sitting right on the fence, maybe 4-4 or 5-3 fighting for a playoff spot. Each week, the margin of error becomes smaller and smaller, with each week becoming more crucial. ahead of Sunday, we take a look at 3 guys to start for a win and 3 guys to avoid, even if you are breathing a bit easier as a Joe Mixon owner.

Start

Drake London vs Cowboys London faces off against a bottom 5 defense this week after a down game at Tampa Bay where Kyle Pitts and Darnell Mooney got more of a share. Expect some positive regression for a guy who has reached the end zone and double-digit threshold in 5/8 matchups. London is a good option at WR2 or a flex spot this week

Kareem Hunt vs BuccaneersHunt has continued to churn out efficient performances in an offense that has seen most of its’ red zone scores come on the ground. Hunt has 12 or more points in each of the last three weeks, with touchdowns in each. Against a bad Bucs run defense, rely on Hunt to put up another good night.

David Montgomery @ Packers The only road matchup of these three, Monty owners will always have concerns over Jahmyr Gibbs vulturing touches from the Chicago Bears. But against a division rival, expect Montgomery to rise to the occasion with solid volume. Montgomery has one game all season below 13 points and without reaching the endzone. In the last two games, he has just one touchdown and 18 carries, so it’s likely that Ben Johnson will involve him more this week.

Sit

Bucky Irving @ Chiefs Irving has dropped 15+ in each of his last 3 games, but this week faces the best run defense in the NFL. The Chiefs have not allowed a Running Back to reach 70 yards this season, and have shut down the likes of Derrick Henry, Bijan Robinson, and Alvin Kamara. Stay away from Irving.

Tucker Kraft vs Lions The status of QB Jordan Love is uncertain and even if he goes, he will not be 100%, and on top of that, no TE has topped 11 points against the Detroit defense. On top of that, expect many Green Bay touches to go to Josh Jacobs, especially if Love’s status is suboptimal

Zay Flowers vs Broncos Flowers has been very good recently, scoring at least 18 in 3 of his last 4 games. But this week’s matchup against the Broncos is a tall task, with Patrick Surtain and Denver having given up 4 scores and the fourth-lowest PPG to wide receivers.
