As we start to kick it into high gear for Fantasy Football, every good GM is looking around for under-the-radar, smart moves that will help them win their league. Every year we are forced to slot in players that fly under the radar on waivers. This week I have three “value” plays to help you win your matchup in week 6.
Cade Otton
Otton had a bit quieter week against Atlanta, but that seemed to be because of a combination of Mike Evans and the running game being at the forefront. Otton the two prior weeks dropped 21 combined points with 13 targets and 17 catches. Otton has three straight weeks playing 90% or more of snaps and takes on a Saints defense that has allowed 43 points to Tight Ends in Weeks 3 and 5.
Allen Lazard
Lazard has quietly dropped double figures in 4 of 5 games so far. If you omit his Week 2 game at Tennessee, Lazard averages 16 PPG. Last week, he accumulated 9 targets, with 8 the week prior. With the Bills defense largely focusing on Wilson, expect Lazard to get some open looks, and possibly get in the end zone, with 4 touchdowns already this season.
Xavier Hutchinson
Hutchinson is a second year wideout that saw himself thrust into more playing time with the injury of Nico Collins in last Sunday’s game. Hutchinson had not played 20% of snaps in a game all season, but saw that number boosted to 71% last week, where he hauled in 2 passes and dropped 5 points. In a deeper league, if you need WR help, Hutchinson is worth buying low on while Collins is gone, even if Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs are the main beneficiaries.
