5 Players to Drop in Week 15 Fantasy Football

While some roster decisions are painfully clear-cut—like parting ways with Trevor Lawrence, who’s out for the season, or Dallas Goedert, sidelined with a knee injury until after playoffs—many roster moves require more nuanced consideration.

As Jonathan Brooks’ unfortunate knee injury reminds us, the playoffs are unforgiving. With championship dreams hanging in the balance, fantasy managers must make tough choices that can make or break their entire season. Let’s dive deeper into the players you should consider dropping ahead of Week 15 —not the obvious injury casualties, but the underperformers and trending downward options that might secretly sabotage your playoff run.

Diontae Johnson – WR, Baltimore Ravens

Roster Percentage: 38%

Johnson’s fantasy value has evaporated since being traded to the Ravens. He’ll serve a one-game suspension in Week 15 and has been virtually invisible with the offense, playing just 22 snaps over three games and recording a single 6-yard catch on five targets.

Despite still being rostered in 38% of Yahoo leagues, Johnson offers no meaningful fantasy contribution with less than 2% of the target share in Baltimore.

Ameer Abdullah – RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Roster Percentage: 24%

Abdullah’s fantasy relevance has plummeted in recent weeks. Sincere McCormick has definitively taken over the Raiders’ backfield, leaving Abdullah with minimal opportunities.

In Week 14, Abdullah managed just two touches for negative two yards while McCormick handled 17 touches and gained 89 yards. With Alexander Mattison and Zamir White potentially returning from injury, Abdullah’s role will likely become even more limited.

Wan’Dale Robinson – WR, New York Giants

Roster Percentage: 35%

Giants’ wide receiver, Wan’Dale Robinson, has seen his fantasy potential diminish. He’s averaging just 8.2 yards per catch and hasn’t recorded more than five catches in a game since October 20. Robinson can pay off with a solid amount of volume but it just hasn’t happened this season.

With inconsistent quarterback play, Robinson struggles to provide reliable fantasy value, even in full-point PPR leagues. Malik Nabers seems to be the only real option on the Giant’s offense.

Kyle Pitts – TE, Atlanta Falcons

Roster Percentage: 83%

Pitts continues to struggle with consistent production. In the five games following his two-touchdown performance against the Buccaneers, he has caught only seven passes for 89 yards on 18 targets. Many are declaring Pitts a missed pick for the Falcons altogether but looking at Jonnu Smith’s season in Miami points more to the Falcons’ system rather than Pitts as a player.

The Week 15 matchup against the Raiders looks favorable, but given that Pitts has caught one reception or fewer in four of his last five games, he doesn’t seem worth the risk.

Kirk Cousins’ ongoing issues have further complicated Pitts’ fantasy value. While tight end might be a thin position, there is value in seeking out more reliable and fruitful options.

Tyjae Spears – RB, Tennessee Titans

Roster Percentage: 43%

Spears has become second fiddle to Tony Pollard despite a strong start as a pass-catching “back” for Tennessee. Over his last three games, he’s logged just 10 carries and three receptions. On the season, Spears has yet to go over 47 rushing yards in a single game.

In recent weeks, Spears has played limited snaps, including a game where he was on the field for only 25% of the team’s offensive plays. With Pollard operating as the Titans’ workhorse, Spears offers no standalone fantasy value.
