5 Players To Drop This Week in Fantasy Football

As we enter Week 11, let’s look at changes to be implemented for fantasy managers moving forward. It’s time to make tough decisions about underperforming players, regardless of draft capital or popularity.

Caleb Williams

Roster Percentage: 64%

Williams’ recent performance signals a clear regression after a promising stretch before the Bears’ bye week. The rookie quarterback has failed to throw a touchdown pass since Week 6 averaging just 156 passing yards per game during this drought. His efficiency hit a new low in his latest outing, where he took nine sacks and completed only 53.3% of his passes. With just 69 net yards on 39 dropbacks after accounting for sacks, Williams has lost fantasy relevance.

The Bears’ offensive struggles have effectively ended his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign, as he’s now fallen behind both Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix in that race.

Javonte Williams

Roster Percentage: 87%

Williams’ declining snap count tells a concerning story. His participation has steadily dropped from 67% to 54% over four consecutive weeks. His efficiency metrics paint an equally troubling picture – among 47 qualifying running backs, he ranks 39th in explosive run rate and 42nd in yards after contact per attempt. His recent performance against the Chiefs, managing just one yard on a single carry, exemplifies his struggles. With Audric Estime emerging as the potential lead back in Denver, Williams’ fantasy value continues to diminish.

Evan Engram

Roster Percentage: 92%

Despite leading the Jaguars in targets (8) and receptions last week, Engram’s efficiency has become a concern. His catch rate dropped significantly, securing only 50% of his targets against Philadelphia – a stark contrast to his 78.1% catch rate over three seasons with Jacksonville. He recovered a bit this past Sunday against the Vikings but considering the Lions are giving very few fantasy points up to tight ends, it might be worth foregoing the bumpy ride with Engram through Week 11.

While the absence of Christian Kirk could maintain his high target share, quarterback uncertainty with Mac Jones adds risk to his fantasy outlook.

Xavier Worthy

Roster Percentage: 80%

Worthy’s limitations as a pure speed specialist have become increasingly apparent. While his straight-line speed impressed scouts, he has yet to develop the complete skill set required of an NFL receiver. His trajectory mirrors players like John Ross or Kevin White, who struggled to translate their athletic abilities into consistent NFL production. While there’s potential for improvement in his sophomore season, fantasy managers shouldn’t wait for development that may never materialize.

Zach Ertz

Roster Percentage: 33%

Currently sitting as TE16 in fantasy points per game, Ertz offers little upside in the streaming tight end landscape. While his target share (17.7%) and red zone involvement (fifth among tight ends) show some promise, his production hasn’t justified roster consideration. The upcoming matchup against Eagles’ defense, which has allowed zero touchdowns to the tight end position, makes him an easy-cut candidate.
