With a flurry of offseason moves, key trades, and a fresh batch of draft picks ready to make their mark, the landscape of the league is as dynamic as ever. Week 1 is filled with potential playoff matchups and potential high scoring affairs that could give us a clearer picture on each team in the 2024 season. Here is how all 32 teams stack up ahead of week 1.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs open this season at the top of our power rankings coming off their 2nd straight super bowl win. Last season it felt like everything was tough on offense for the Chiefs, this season will be different. With the additions to the wide receiver room the Chiefs will be back to the high-powered offense we all know in 2024.

2. San Francisco 49ers

The most talented roster is the NFL, the 49ers seem to beat up on every other team not named the Chiefs. Will 2024 be the season that San Francisco finally wins a super bowl?

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens once again fell short in the playoffs after their historic efficiency outputs on both sides of the ball. The addition of RB Derrick Henry is a big move for them, but will the loss of defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald hurt?

4. Houston Texans

Everyone’s favorite super bowl preseason pick, the Texans had a big offseason. They added Stefon Diggs, Danielle Hunter, and Joe Mixon to a young squad that fell short in the divisional round last year. MVP Candidate C.J. Stroud will need to take another step forward if the Texans want to make some noise in the AFC

5. Detroit Lions

The Lions brought good football back to Detroit last season after their NFC Championship run. There is a lot to like on the offensive side of the ball headlined by WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. There are concerns with the defense as they had a poor secondary and no pass rush outside of EDGE Aidan Hutchinson in 2023.

6. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are a hot pick to make the super bowl this year after an inspiring 2023 campaign. QB Jordan Love should take another step forward, but the major concerns are on the defensive side of the ball

7. New York Jets

With the return of future hall of fame QB Aaron Rodgers, the Jets are poised for a big 2024 season. It felt like they were a QB away last season with their elite defense that carried them to 7 wins.

8. Cincinnati Bengals

Another team that had injuries derail their season; the Bengals get star QB Joe Burrow back. They may not be as talented as they have been in the past on the defensive side of the ball, but they still have Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins who might be the best receiver duo in football.

9. Philadelphia Eagles

A late season collapse last year halted the Eagles super bowl hopes. The defense has many question marks heading into the season but is headlined by star DT Jalen Carter. Offensively the addition of OC Kellen Moore and RB Saquon Barkley should open up the passing game in Philly.

10. Los Angeles Rams

A sleeper pick to make a run in the playoffs this season, the Rams are loaded on offense. QB Matthew Stafford has an elite trio of playmakers that include Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams.

11. Buffalo Bills

After a few years of going all in to win a super bowl, Buffalo’s cap problems caught up to them this offseason. They lost veterans Stefon Diggs, Mitch Morse, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Tre’davius White. This season we will see if QB Josh Allen can be superman and carry this team to the postseason.

12. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have an elite defense, headlined by star EDGE Micah Parsons that will help them win a lot of games this season. On offense besides star WR CeeDee Lamb they lack weapons which could prevent them from making any noise in the postseason.

13. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins will once again have an explosive offense due to star WR’s Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Their defense is lacking a strong front 7 and could have some problems stopping the run this season. They will go as far as QB Tua Tagovailoa will take them this season.

14. Chicago Bears

The Hype around the Bears is real! The Bear’s defense was stellar down the stretch last season and lost no important pieces on that side of the ball. On offense they added Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and Deandre Swift to bolster that unit. Generational QB prospect Caleb Williams should be fun to watch in his rookie season.

15. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons had a big offseason and are now the favorites to win the NFC South. New head coach Raheem Morris brought in veterans Kirk Cousins, Matthew Judon, and Justin Simmons to help a young talented roster. The Falcons should be fun to watch this season with all of their weapons on offense.

16. Cleveland Browns

The Browns have a stellar defense and made the playoffs last season behind that unit. If they want to take that next step as a super bowl contender, they need QB Deshaun Watson to return to form this season.

17. Indianapolis Colts

A hot pick to make some noise this season, the Colts are getting QB Anthony Richardson back after he missed a majority of last season with injuries. Richardson was a touchdown machine before those injuries and will be a key factor in the Colts success this season.

18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs won the NFC South last season and gave the Lions a tough game in Detroit in the playoffs. This roster is experienced and has some talent, but the loss of OC Dave Canales could hurt this team.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars fell apart at the end of last season making their 2024 outlook grim in a loaded AFC. QB Trevor Lawrence took a step back last season and hopefully a healthy season means he returns to form.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are going to be carried by their defense again in 2024. EDGE T.J. Watt is a game wrecker and single handily will win the Steelers games. On offense it is hard to buy into the Arthur Smith, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, bad o-line, and no weapons train.

21. Tennessee Titans

The Titans are building around QB Will Levis to see if he is their long-term answer at the position. They added WR Calvin Ridley and RB Tony Pollard to help his development. On defense they added CB L’Jarius Sneed who was one of the best man-to-man corners in the NFL last year.

22. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals should be vastly improved in 2024 with a fully healthy Kyler Murray. TE Trey McBride and rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. will be Murray’s go to targets in what should be a fun offense to watch. The defense is still lacking talent and will struggle in 2024.

23. Seattle Seahawks

The Pete Carroll era is over in Seattle and in comes Mike MacDonald from Baltimore. MacDonald is a savvy defensive coach that should coach that unit up this season into a top 15 unit. They have playmakers on offense but with a poor offensive line their ceiling seems limited.

24. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders played some good football down the stretch last year with new head coach Antonio Pierce. With the addition of DT Christian Wilkins, they will have a good duo up front with him and star EDGE Maxx Crosby. The offense leaves a lot to be desired with their QB situation being one of the worst in the league.

25. Minnesota Vikings

This seems like a retooling season for the Vikings with a lot of turnover on both sides of the ball. Kevin O’Connell is a great coach and will have this team playing hard each week. Expect their defense to struggle a lot this season.

26. New Orleans Saints

An aging roster and an uninspiring head coach has the Saints in the bottom half of the NFL to start 2024. If QB Derek Carr plays good football this season, they could sneak out 8 or 9 wins which could be enough to win the NFC South.

27. Los Angeles Chargers

The Brandon Staley era is finally over in Los Angeles. Jim Harbaugh takes over after winning a national championship at Michigan. Harbaugh will be tasked with surrounding star QB Justin Herbert with a good roster and making the right decisions in the 4th quarter unlike Staley.

28. Denver Broncos

The Bo Nix hype train is picking up after a great preseason. Nix should be fun to watch this season but outside of him this roster leaves a lot to be desired. If Nix is the real deal the Broncos could be competitive this season.

29. New York Giants

Will this be the last season of the Daniel Jones era? The Giants added WR Malik Nabers through the draft which should help Jones but the lack of talent outside of Nabers is concerning. Their pass rush should be elite this season with Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

30. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have had a rough two years, but there might be some hope in 2024. New head coach Dave Canales has worked wonders in the past in Tampa Bay and might do the same for QB Bryce Young in Carolina. Still a bad roster, they are a year or two away from competing.

31. Washington Commanders

The Commanders hired Dan Quinn this offseason and brought in a bunch of veterans around rookie QB Jayden Daniels. Daniels development this season in a tough decision will be noteworthy going forward.

32. New England Patriots

Rebuilding year for the Patriots as they try to find out what they have in rookie QB Drake Maye. It will be interesting to see what WR takes over as the #1 target.
