We’ve all been there before. Suddenly, mere hours before kickoff, you get a Fantasy Football alert that one of your key players is questionable, doubtful, or even worse, out. You scramble to find a replacement, especially if you have a weak bench. No need to worry, we have you covered here at Blitz Sports Media. Here are three emergency pickups for Week 5 if you need to grab someone to help fill out your lineup in week 5.
1. Jordan Whittington
Whittington, a rookie Wide Receiver from Texas, has been working to gain Matthew Stafford’s trust for the first few games of his career. He was a preseason standout and is a free agent in 90% or more leagues across ESPN, Yahoo, NFL, and Draft Kings. Whittington put up more points (12.20) in Week 4 against the Bears than his first 3 games combined (9.80). Whittington was on the field for 96.6% of LA’s offensive snaps against Chicago and could continue to improve against a questionable Green Bay secondary.

2. Dare Ogunbowale
Houston will once again be without Running Back Joe Mixon against the Buffalo Bills this week. That thrusts Ogunbowale into a likely larger role after a solid fantasy week last week against Jacksonville. While the Running Back only has 10 rushing yards on 4 carries this season, he also has 9 catches for 98 yards on 9 targets, including a touchdown reception last week. Buffalo, Houston’s opponent, has the worst fantasy defense against Running Backs this season. Furthermore, Dameon Pierce is rumored to miss another game likely, so Ogunbowale is a decent last-minute PPR start in deeper leagues after a 15 point performance last week.
3. Andrei Iosivas
Another WR, Iosivas has high upside despite playing alongside two elite pass catchers in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Before his one catch performance against the Panthers, Iosivas compiled 30.90 points the prior two weeks against KC and Washington. He scored twice on the road in Kansas City, with another touchdown late against Washington. Expect him to get open looks against division rival Baltimore with the Ravens keying in on the dynamic duo.
