Now that bye weeks are starting to become an issue, on a weekly basis managers are being tested in terms of their depth and their waiver wire skills. Clearly, you won’t find a Joe Mixon or a Derrick henry on waivers, but there are some available, whether by waivers or a cheap trade that could help your team get a big win in Fantasy as we approach midseason.

Tank Bigsby

Bigsby has steadily seen an elevated role in the Jags offense with the inconsistency and health questions of Travis Etienne Jr. After 21 carries in weeks 1-4, Bigsby has combined for 46 from weeks 5-7. Two of those games have been for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns. Running Backs are averaging 16 points against the Green Bay defense, and despite a limited receiving upside, Bigsby is worth a pickup.

Chase Brown

Brown had a slower week as compared to the last few against a stout Cleveland front, but he has clearly become the lead back in Cincy and has upped his production over the last few weeks. Brown hit double digits every week between weeks 5 and 7, dropping 50.5 points combined in those contests. He draws an Eagles defense that is better against the run than the pass but expect him to get good volume and be a solid flex option.

Alexander Mattison

Mattison has the benefit of being a back on a squad without any real identity at QB and throwing the ball. Mattison has four double digit games of production this season, including back-to-back performances of 15 points and 13.8 against Pittsburgh and LA. The only danger with Mattison is facing an elite Chiefs defense, but his worst game has been 6 points, so in deeper leagues especially, he is worth considering
