Finding the best guys to fit into your lineup is not always the easiest task when dealing with bye weeks or injuries. Each week we drop three emergency starts that you can fill into your fantasy lineup and avoid a “bust” performance. All the players mentioned are available in 70% or more of Fantasy leagues. Below are three players that can help you win your week in fantasy that are on waivers right now.

Russell Wilson QB PIT

Wilson had an impressive debut throwing for 264 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown. He did this against the Jets who came into the day as the 4th best at limiting quarterback’s outputs in fantasy football. This week the Steelers have a matchup against the Giants on Monday Night football that is much more favorable. The Giants have one of the highest single high safety percentages (60.1%) in the NFL which bodes well for Wilson’s play style. Expect him to have back-to-back 20-point games to start his 2024 season.

Emmanuel Wilson RB GB

Wilson and the Packers will likely have a positive game script against the Jaguars this week resulting in more volume for the backup running back. In games decided by two scores, Wilson’s touches jump up to an average of 10 per game compared to his average of 6 in one-score games. In that change of pace role, he has excelled with his 4.7 yards per carry and has 6 catches as well. With more opportunities in week eight, Wilson is a sneaky play as an RB2 for teams decimated by injuries.

Troy Franklin WR DEN

Franklin is slowly becoming more involved in Denver as he has increased his snap share each week this season. The last two weeks he has been able to score over 10 fantasy points and last week led the team in catches, yards, and targets. The Broncos face the Panthers this week who ranks near the bottom of the NFL on passing yards and passing touchdowns allowed this season. Franklin is a deep sleeper who should provide a 10+ point performance for teams desperate.
