Finding the best guys to fit into your lineup is not always the easiest task when dealing with bye weeks or injuries. Each week we drop three emergency starts that you can fill into your fantasy lineup and avoid a “bust” performance. All the players mentioned are available in 75% or more of Fantasy leagues. Below are three players that can help you win your week in fantasy that are on waivers right now.
Jonnu Smith TE (MIA)
Smith is quietly putting together a solid season in Miami for the Dolphins and has a higher target share this season than Jaylen Waddle. In his last four games, he has 21 catches for 224 yards and a touchdown resulting in 49.3 fantasy points. More impressively, this season he ranks 6th among tight ends in target premium showcasing how valuable he can be in those formats. This week the Dolphins face the Rams who are currently the 8th best matchup for tight ends and are allowing an average of 12.2 points per game. Smith is a valuable streamer for teams dealing with bye weeks at tight end in Week 10.
Daniel Jones QB (NYG)
Last week, Jones delivered a solid fantasy performance against the Commanders, throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns while adding 54 rushing yards and a touchdown. His rushing ability is what truly makes him a fantasy-relevant option. Jones faces a favorable matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers, who have struggled defensively against quarterbacks. Carolina is tied for allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position and has given up eight touchdowns to quarterbacks over the last four games. Daniel Jones presents a sneaky high upside streaming option for Week 10,
Mason Tipton WR (NO)
The Saints are thin at receiver, with injuries to Chris Olave, Cedric Wilson, Bub Means, and Rashid Shaheed. This leaves Tipton as the team’s number one wide receiver on the depth chart. Despite limited opportunities this season, Tipton ranks 25th in the NFL in route win rate and has seen his snap share reach over 75% in the last three weeks. With two straight quiet performances, Tipton had a solid day against the Broncos with 6 catches for 45 yards on 9 targets. This season, the Falcons rank in the bottom 10 in fantasy in terms of limiting opposing receivers and not allowing a pass catcher to go below 78 yards in five straight games. Tipton is worth a look as a flex play.
