EA Sports just released their top ranked wide receivers for the release of Madden 25 in August, here is the top 10.

  1. Tyreek Hill 99
  2. Justin Jefferson 98
  3. CeeDee Lamb 96
  4. A.J. Brown 95
  5. Amon-Ra St. Brown 95
  6. Davante Adams 94
  7. Ja’Marr Chase 93
  8. Stefon Diggs 92
  9. Mike Evans 91
  10. Brandon Aiyuk 91

Some notable names absent from this list include Rams Puka Nacua (84), 49ers Deebo Samuel (87), Bears D.J. Moore (89), and Browns Amari Cooper (90). All of these players are deserving of a spot inside the top 10. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Nacua himself should be in the top 10. Last season Puka posted 1486 yards on 105 receptions in his rookie season. He has an argument over aging veterans like Stefon Diggs, Mike Evans, and Davante Adams. Madden has always given older superstars special treatment by giving them high ratings out of the gate each year, instead of rating them closer to how they performed the year before.

Regarding the top 10 itself, it definitely could use some tweaks. Bengals Ja’Marr Chase posted 1216 yards last season without Joe Burrow and is an undisputed top 4 receiver in football but found himself at 7th in this list. Chase should join Cowboys Ceedee Lamb by having a 96 overall rating as well. Justin Jefferson not being as high or higher than Tyreek Hill is another problem with these ratings. Jefferson averaged 107.4 yards per game last year with three different quarterbacks. If Jefferson stays on this trajectory, he will be an all-time great receiver. As I mentioned earlier the older veterans’ ratings are too high. Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs regressed last season and should be rated between 89-91 overall heading into this season. Brandon Aiyuk finally cracked the top 10 receivers in Madden with his 91 overall rating. It will be interesting to see if Aiyuk climbs this list as he finished last year with a 96 overall rating.

Madden always seems to rate players based off of their name value instead of their play on the field. Stay tuned for more Madden ratings reveals coming soon.
