While we do not yet have a full report from the NCAA on the Connor Stallions scandal, we can confirm from drafts that no Michigan Coach or Staffer was involved.

Michigan Receives Draft of NOA

For nearly a year Michigan has awaited a NOA from the NCAA. These Notice of Allegations would outline what exactly the Wolverines were being accused of from the scandal.

Rival teams have long called for the vacating of wins, although it appears the NCAA will no longer target this outcome.

While Michigan fans across the nation celebrate, not everything is peachy. Head Coach Sherrone Moore was one of seven accused of Level 1 violations, the most severe violation. Moore could face suspension for deleting texts connected to Connor Stallions, while the legitimacy of this allegation has yet to be investigated. These various reports came first from ESPN. The draft states that the texts were later recovered via “device imaging” and Moore “subsequently produced them to enforcement staff.” Moore is accused of committing a Level 2 violation for this specific allegation, according to the draft. The Level 1 Violation would be from failure to cooperate with investigations.

Fired Michigan Staffer Connor Stallions was indeed confirmed to be on the CMU sidelines. How he attained such a feat has yet to be revealed. It should be noted again that Stallions acted alone in this scandal.

Jim Harbaugh, the former Wolverines Coach and current Chargers HC, will also receive allegations from the NCAA. He’s expected to receive a show-cause penalty, stating that if he ever returned to the college ranks he would be penalized or fined.

What to Take From the NOA

While some will celebrate the fact that UM was not connected to the scheme, rival fanbases will rejoice as well. Michigan could still receive a bowl ban, but one that would not affect the CFP. The most likely scenario is that Michigan receives a fine and a lower scholarship account for a few years. There is still hope that nothing whatsoever will come from this.

All in all, both Michigan’s Titles and wins from 2021-24 will stand and are in no danger of being vacated.
