Each week I will break down each team’s running back and wide receiver snap share percentages and the amount of touches/targets they receive that week. Although these numbers do not always lead to fantasy football results, they are worth monitoring for multiple reasons. Opportunity is the best way to determine a player’s floor in fantasy football. The more snaps and volume a player receives, the more likely they will produce more points weekly. Conversely, a player who is not receiving as many snaps or touches but has been highly efficient is a good breakout candidate in future weeks. Below I mention some key takeaways as well as each team’s usage rates.

Key Takeaways

  • Roschon Johnson continues to increase his role in the Bears offense, he is worth stashing
  • Cole Kmet saw a season-high snap share without Shane Waldron
  • Diontae Johnson is droppable in leagues and continues to play under 20% of snaps
  • The return of Isaiah Likely led to a drop in Mark Andrews snaps and target share
  • Jerome Ford is the back to own in Cleveland, he operated more as an early down back limiting Chubb
  • Luke Schoonmaker has streamer appeal if Jake Ferguson misses anytime with a concussion
  • Javonte Williams retook the Broncos backfield, and they will ride the hot hand weekly
  • DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr returned to their heavy workloads
  • Taysom Hill’s usage suggest he has a higher floor than ever in fantasy football
  • Amari Cooper continues to operate as the Bills WR4 and the concerns are real
  • Juju Smith-Shuster had a limited role in his return from injury
  • Kareem Hunt’s snaps will decrease with the likely return of Isiah Pacheco against Carolina
  • Ameer Abdullah is a name to watch if Zamir White and Alexander Mattison miss any time
  • Nico Collins was utilized on only 47% of snaps in his return from injury (BUY LOW)
  • The Packers pass catchers have been a jumbled mess for a few weeks with no one rising above the others
  • Browns pass catchers on the other hand are all worth rostering due to their usage rates
  • Jonnu Smith continues to carve out a sizable role in the Dolphins offense.
