With Week 10 officially in the books, there are more names you need to know on this week’s waiver wire. You may be dealing with injuries, bye weeks, or just need to cycle players out on your bench. Whatever it is, the waiver wire is there to help. Let’s take a look at some of the best players that should be added this week on waivers.
Jump to a Player
Audric Estime RB (DEN)
The Broncos made a clear switch a running back with Audric Estime taking over as the primary ball carrier. Heading into the game today, Estime was efficient with his limited touches averaging 6.3 yards per carry. The Broncos opened the game with Jaleel McLaughlin and then Javonte Williams the following drive but ultimately Estime’s impressive third drive led to him dominating the backfield in snaps.
Over the last three quarters he played 24 of 41 possible snaps finishing with 14 carries for 53 yards against the league’s best run defense. The Increase in snaps this week is going to make Estime a top waiver wire pickup as he will likely have more opportunities going forward. This might be the last running back that has earned a starting job without an injury happening to the starter so make sure Estime is your top priority.
Ricky Pearsall WR (SF)
Out of the bye, we were going to get a clear picture of how the 49ers wide receiver room was going to shake out the rest of the season. Although Jauan Jennings might be the more valuable receiver to own, Pearsall has weekly flex appeal. This week he made his first career touchdown catch and finished with 4 catches for 73 yards on 6 targets.
That’s now 15 targets in 3 games for Pearsall and played the 3rd number of snaps among 49ers receivers. As the 49ers make a push for the playoffs Pearsall should be good waiver wire add and will be a flex play this week against the Seahawks.
Russell Wilson QB (PIT)
Since taking over as the starting quarterback, Wilson has been averaging 19.3 points per game placing him right within the top 16 quarterbacks in points per game. Wilson ranks 2nd since the start of 2023 in touchdown passes per attempt, only behind Lamar Jackson. The Steelers also have some favorable matchups with four matchups between the Ravens and Bengals who rank in the bottom five against quarterbacks in fantasy football. Wilson should be rostered as a valuable streamer in those matchups and one of those matchups come this week against the Ravens.
Gus Edwards RB (LAC)
Gus Edwards made his return from injured reserve and remained a large part of the Chargers offense. Despite only playing 14 snaps in his return, Edwards had 10 carries for 55 yards resulting in his best game of the season. His role within the Chargers offense consists of playing a high percentage of early-down snaps and getting the ball when he is in. Kimani Vidal was a healthy inactive today as the Chargers will lean on Edwards, JK Dobbins, and Hassan Haskins down the stretch. Earlier this season offensive coordinator Greg Roman mentioned they will “ride the hot hand” at running back which makes JK Dobbins less valuable. Edwards should be a priority pickup on waivers ahead of Week 11.
Elijah Moore WR (CLE)
Since Jameis Winston took over as quarterback, Moore has a 23% target share, 1.49 yards per route run, and a 23% first read share. After not trusting any Browns playmakers at points this season, you should be rostering Moore, Jerry Jeudy, and Cedric Tillman. Moore has 27 targets and is averaging over 11 points a content in the last three weeks providing weekly flex value.
In the next two weeks he has favorable matchups, making him a good flex play. This week they face the Saints who are allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing slot receivers and then the Steelers who rank 11th in points allowed to slot receivers. If Moore is available grab him off of the waiver wire this week.
Jalen Coker WR (CAR)
Coker did not fill up the box score this week but led the team with a 32% target share. With Bryce Young at the helm is ceiling is capped but still is worth a look at on the waiver wire this week. After the trade of Jonathan Mingo, Coker saw a season high snap percentage in the win over the Giants. Coming out of the bye, the Panthers face the Bucs and the Chiefs who have allowed the 2nd and 3rd most points per game to opposing slot receivers. Coker is worth taking a shot at on the waiver wire, but I would be cautious with how much FAAB you throw on him.
Top Priority (If Available)
Jaylen Warren RB (PIT)
60% Rostered
Warren had a nice day against the Commanders with 16 touches for 95 yards as a compliment to Najee Harris. Harris injured his ankle in the game against the Commanders and was able to return but could be limited this week against the Ravens. Warren would be the beneficiary if Harris is not able to go or is limited. Warren is a flex play heading into the Ravens matchup and worth the roster add if he is still available.
DeMario Douglas WR (NE)
22% Rostered
Douglas continues to be Drake Maye’s go to receiver as he once again led the team in receptions and yards against the Bears. Although the fantasy numbers have not been there for Douglas, he has been effective on the field with his 20th ranked route win rate among receivers. I expect bigger weeks ahead for Douglas in the Patriots offense and he needs to be rostered in all leagues.
