With the playoff promo and the release of season five, there are new ways to make coins in Madden Ultimate Team. Below are some of the best ways to earn the new 94+ overall cards that just dropped.

Playoff Promo Details
Log in to MUT to receive a Welcome Pack containing your choice of 1 of 14 players from the teams who made this year’s Playoffs. Each player starts at 85 OVR and can be upgraded to 94 OVR using 9x Playoffs Upgrade Tokens (earned via Field Pass, Challenges, and H2H).

Playoff Field Pass
The playoff promo also comes with a field pass that will have 21 levels with coin rewards, BND player packets, H2H event entries, and player token upgrades. Below is a breakdown of the entire field pass.
Online Rewards
The Playoffs H2H event will go live with the new Legends at 10:30 am ET on Saturday, January 11th, and end on Tuesday, January 28th. As you work through the event you can earn coin rewards and a 94 overall Rasul Douglas, Matt Milano, or AJ Brown. Milano is the newest release and has 93 speed with 97 block shed making him a solid option working through the event. To enter the event, you must get Road to Super Bowl Entry Tickets or use coins to play.

Solo Challenge Rewards
There are going to be 8 sets of solo challenges upon release today to complete to start grinding out the tiers for the playoff promo. Each week there will be a set of new solos to work through to get the 91+ BND pack at the end of the tiers. There will also be a solo road to the Super Bowl event where you can earn coin rewards and an 85+ BND pack for winning the Super Bowl. Below are all of the tiers for the solo challenges in the promo.

Playoff Promo Cards
With the release of the playoff promo part three, we got four 94 champions with four heroes in this release. The LTDs are 95 overall which are Khalil Shakir and Darius Slay. Slay has elite cover stats with good height while Shakir has 95 speed with 96 deep route running. Earlier this week, EA released an LTD Lawrence Taylor along with Case Keenum and Darrelle Revis as a part of the playoffs promo. Below are all of the cards you can pull in packs or complete sets to achieve.

Roster Revolution
A new program was revealed this morning by EA called Roster Revolution, with Part 1 targeted to be released later today in MUT. The program aims to help fill holes in Theme Team Depth Charts. There will be 2 large drops and a few smaller drops of Roster Revolution. Let’s go over everything we currently know about the program, starting with tokens and medals:
*The AP limit will be raised today from 8 to 9 AP on offense and 10 to 12 AP on defense.
Upgrade Tokens
- Earn tokens via challenges and store offers
- Tokens can be exchanged in sets for Roster Revolution Players and Revolutionary Medals
Revolutionary Medals
- Medals are used to upgrade Roster Revolution Champs and LTDs
- Medals give Champs and LTDs access to their 3rd discounted ability in their custom ability bucket (possibly more in future releases)

Season 5
The following Season 5 players begin at 88 OVR and can be upgraded using Upgrade Tokens earned by leveling up the Season 5 Field Pass or with Upgrade Tokens found in the Ticket Store. S5 Player choice packs are available at levels 1, 6, 16, 26, and 36. S5 Upgrade Tokens are available at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. Below are all of the players that you can upgrade to 96 overall.

Ultimately season five upgradeable cards are once again a major disappointment. The only viable card long-term in this group is Joe Thuney while the other cards lack the speed to be relevant once they can be upgraded to 96 overall. What is always nice about the seasonal promos is that you can spend your tickets on boom or bust packs to earn some good coins potentially.
My Current No Money Spent Squad
After a long grind over the last few weeks during the zero-chill promo, my squad has made some major changes. We addressed the needs at wide receiver by adding Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones with Drake Maye throwing to them. I am still looking to upgrade the tight-end position and center soon. On defense, not much has changed as we made some major splashes before the last release.
