1. Prioritize Wide Receivers Early

In today’s pass-heavy NFL, wide receivers have become the most valuable position in fantasy football. The top wide receivers consistently produce high-level fantasy points and have a higher floor than running backs. Getting a guy like Tyreek Hill on your team will win you weeks by himself when he goes for 54 points! Consider taking a wide receiver in the first round and possibly even going WR-WR with your first two picks.

2. Target High-Upside Quarterbacks

The quarterback position has become increasingly important in fantasy football, with the top quarterbacks putting up huge numbers. If you miss out on the top quarterbacks in the early rounds do not freak out! Find yourself a guy with rushing upside in the middle to late rounds such as Anthony Richardson or Jayden Daniels. Both of these guys have the upside to be the QB1 if everything goes right for them.

3. Be Cautious with Running Backs

Running backs are still important in fantasy football, but their value has decreased due to the rise of committee backfields and the increased passing volume in the NFL. Consider drafting a running back in the first few rounds, but don’t reach for a running back just because of their position. Later options such as Jaylen Warren and Zach Moss can provide you with durability while also helping you get those PPR points that make running backs so good.

4. Wait on Tight Ends

The tight end position is top-heavy, with a few elite options and then a steep drop-off in production. Consider waiting on a tight end and targeting a high-upside option in the middle rounds. David Njoku or Jake Ferguson are some late round choices that have high upside in both of their offenses

5. Pay Attention to Team Situations

When drafting players, consider the team situations they are in. Look for players on high-scoring offenses or teams with favorable schedules. Training camp is a very important time to take notes of ongoing position battles to see who will win out at certain positions.

6. Don’t Be Afraid to Take Risks

Fantasy football is all about taking calculated risks. Don’t be afraid to draft a player with high upside, even if they are a bit of a reach.

7. Stay Active on the Waiver Wire

The waiver wire is a crucial part of fantasy football. Stay active and monitor the waiver wire throughout the season to find hidden gems and fill in any gaps in your roster. By following these strategies, you can set yourself up for success in the 20
